This is my friend, Brian, as Harry Dresden, from Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. I call it "When Harry Met Sue." Yeah, I know...goofy name! The t-rex in the background is the famous Sue the Tyrannosaurus at the Field Museum in Chicago. The Dresden Files are GREAT books! I highly recommend them!

I know, I have fallen off the planet. Life is busy. I haven't been online much. I did start a new book reading group on Yahoo if anyone is interested. Vampires, Demons, and Weres...Oh My! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VDWOM/ We discuss books and have a huge database going for authors and their novels. It's not quite a month old yet and we have 63 members and already had over 1950 posts!

I can't seem to get my nose out of my books. LOL! Although I have been dating someone lately. He's a real sweetie. He's 6' 1" tall, plays guitar, gentle brown eyes...my big teddy bear! LOL! And I'm his little Hobbit cougar. Hahahahaha! I'm 1.5 years older than him. We got another date on Saturday (July 4th). Can't wait!

I got a new car on June 13th. The Mustang was getting old and was killing me on gas. So, I parted ways with my hot sports car (sigh) and got a 2009 Toyota Yaris. I get 34 mpg. It is small but has tons of room on the inside. It is BRILLIANT red! Hahahaha! The picture is crappy because I took it with my cell phone, but here it is...

I haven't done a lot of new artwork lately either. The last thing I did was a t-shirt design for a friend of mine. It was done in pen and ink. This was my favorite, but he likes it better with the name above the wings....

So, what has everyone else been up to? Sorry I've been such a stranger.

I've been slacking with posts!

It's been a few crazy months for me. At the end of May, I came down with some crazy illness that had me sick for over 6 weeks. I had to see a specialist and basically they came up with nothing. I'm still waiting for some bloodwork results. I did two rounds of antibiotics an round of steroids and still was sick. The doctor did come up with one bit...most of my sinus/respiratory infections were brought on by acid reflux. Yup, I kid you not. After the two rounds of antibiotics I still had bronchitis and a sinus infection. They put me on meds for acid reflux and now I'm well. Go figure! But I probably have a problem with my immune system. Great... Oh, and I have asthma. Joy. At least it made me quit smoking. It's been 8 or 9 weeks.

So, being sick, I did tremendous amounts of reading. I finished Acheron Saturday. Bows to the AG!!! This had to be her best book yet! Before that, I read the entire Twilight series. Five 700+ page books in a week. I'm still trying to recuperate from the lack of sleep. I also worked on a few new drawings. It was interesting trying to draw with the asthma meds. They make me shake all over. Fun. So, here are my latest. The first is Wren, the second is Ash and the third is Sherrilyn's brother, Warchild, as Ash. I'm working on a new Ash drawing. This time I'm using Emmanuel Delcour as my model. He played Ash in Sherri's Acheron commercial. I'll post it when it is finished.

Guts or Balls

There is a medical distinction between Guts and Balls. We've all heard about people having guts or balls, but do you really know the difference between them? A sincere effort to help the uninformed get an update is carefully laid out for the reader. Now realize whoever dreamed up these definitions might have had experience to give careful clarity!

GUTS - Is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: "Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?"

BALLS - Is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the balls to say: "You're next, fatty."

I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions. Medically speaking, there is no difference in the outcome, since both ultimately result in death.

I am working on another character from one of Sherrilyn's books, Christian of Acre. I hope you can recognize who my model is. I gave him blue eyes instead of brown for this character. It is no where near done! I never drew someone with color pencils before. It is taking FOREVER!!! So does it look ok so far? Be honest!!! I'm currently working on the piece of armor on his gauntlet. I hate armor. Ugh! It is a pain to do.

Turns out 'B' and his wife have been pretending to be the actor 'BS' and his wife for several years, posing privately as the whole time. As of yesterday, 'B's wife, aka 'Cassie', was still pretending to be 'BS's wife. HAH!!! And they say that the girl they have been doing this to for several years needs help. LOL! They started this with a couple of people who swear they are close, personal friends of 'BS'. They are probably still in with them. Tsk, tsk. Another funny thing is, someone who used to be my friend, 'J', is still in with them, thinking they are innocent. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! And here she thought our mutual friend, 'Z', was being deceitful. Well, I was feeling a bit groggy after drinking the night away. We went out in the boat for some fishing. I caught two sting rays. I just cut the line. Don't mess with them. After that I read my book. Tom caught some mangrove snappers. Robbie was the big winner!!!

The only bad thing is I think I got sun poisoning Saturday. My right arm is swelled and I have terrible pain in my elbow and wrist. OUCH! I still feel pretty groggy so it might be sun poisoning and not all the Captain Morgan I drank last night! LOL! Well, I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

We went to the Mote Aquarium in Sarasota. What a beautiful day! We went with the top down on the Mustang. Got a little burnt. LOL! The aquarium is nice. I got some video that when I get a chance I will try to upload. One of the best parts was out little problem we have had in the past few days is gone. It was unfortunate that the police had to be called to stop her, but, oh well. She shouldn't try to blackmail people. Now I must get ready. We are going out with a bunch of friends to celebrate some birthdays, including my 30 10 birthday. LOL! I'm sure I will have a huge hangover tomorrow. I haven't drank since our work Christmas party. That was a rip!

Did you understand it that time? Shall I translate it into another language for you? Perhaps Bumpkinese? Paul sent me what you sent him. He called me as soon as he saw it. It's nice you have resorted to harassing him since I will no longer deal with you and your amigos and Zee is out of town without need to hear from you and your cronies. I won't repeat what Paul said. My ears are still trying to recover from that cuss storm. Seriously, grow up. It is really unbecoming of a woman your age to treat her friends like this. Well, used-to-be friends. What is it with the internet that it attracts such incredible freaks of nature? People who I have been chatting with online for a year or more have lost their friggin minds in the past couple of days, accusing people of doing things.

One of these people, I'll call her 'J', I met last August. I had a great time with 'J' at Dragon*Con. She is a director on one of the tracks. Well, 'J' just totally lost her mind and accused me of trying to pass myself off as my friend, Paul (I guess I'm really two men!!! I guess I am also his partner, Randy! LOL!) in New York. 'J' says I made them up. Holy shite, people are stupid! She wanted proof that they are real. What does 'J' expect me to do, give her their phone number so she can call them? Give their number to an obvious freaking nut?

So instead, Paul just emailed 'J' so she can trace his IP and he also told her off! AHAHAHAHA! I wish I was a fly on the wall when she got that. He is a sharp-tongued, hot-blooded man. I'm glad he is my friend! His partner is totally the opposite. Very well-mannered, more on the quiet side.

'J' seems to forget about the autograph that was sent to my friends from the crazy women from England, who I think she has teamed up with. (Those women are a whole other story that I will spare you from!) Those chicks are off their rockers and I think my now X friend is taking lessons from them. Randy had scanned the envelope and had posted it. Hello! Got an explanation for that one, witless wonder?

'J' has lost a good friend. What a shame. When she was hurting for money and a new Sherrilyn Kenyon novel came out, I would send it to 'J'. And I am far from wealthy. I have a difficult time buying them for myself sometimes!!! I volunteered to do artwork for her track at Dragon*Con. I used to be a graphic designer. Had my own business. I volunteered to help with t-shirt designs for this year's con. I volunteered to help as staff at this coming con.

At the last con, I gave 'J' food when she didn't eat. I dragged all my movie standees up to Atlanta with me in my tightly packed car to help decorate her Track room. I listened to 'J' bitch about her other staff, whom she said were not doing their job. Not only do I refuse to work with her this year, 'J' has lost at least 4 other staff from last year. Again, what a shame.

Anyone else have a problem with nutcases online, or am I just a freak magnet? Sorry for my rambling. I am exhausted and tired of all the internet bulls--t that is going on. Work has been rough lately. I'm just glad tomorrow is Friday! Stupid people are coming out of the woodwork! Save yourselves!

My new Dragon*Con costume

This is my new costume I got two weeks ago for Dragon*Con 08. Now I am able to lace it all the way up. YAY! Go Atkins! LOL! I had some friends that wanted to see what it looked like so HERE IT IS! It goes great with my green eyes. *bats eyelashes* LOL! The woman who sold it to me said it should be tight enough so you can carry a 6-pack on top....mission accomplished! LOL!!! She could carry a keg! I'm a bit more modest. Yeah, right! Just got to remember NOT to bend over in it.... hee hee hee! The only thing I got to get used to is DON'T WALK FAST! You can't breathe when you are squeezed tightly. No wonder women use to faint a lot. Jeez! Also, there is a lot of material. Makes my ass look a LOT bigger than it already is. (Yeah, I'll just keep telling myself that....) That is my real curly hair...I hate it but I don't have to bother with it much. It is longer in the back, just got it pinned up. Otherwise, I look like a bush woman.

The week from Hell is over! YAY!!!! I got things fairly caught up at work. Quite a heap was left on my plate from the last assistant. Grrrr! Report cards were finished and sent out (only 3 weeks late), schedules are all in the school database (only 4 weeks late), enrolled 6 new students, exited 5, and withdrew 4. Hopefully Monday will be a decent day. Still got another 4 boys to withdraw from the system. also got a huge order from Office Depot to go through and put away. Then I got to finish organizing the office with my new inmate, I mean roommate, Christina. LOL!

Christina and I got hysterical trying to record phone messages today. I had put a load of music on my computer. I forgot that I had had Nine Inch Nails uncut version of Closer on my MP3 Player when I put it on my computer. We got laughing that that was a song we definitely couldn't play in a classroom. Later on when Christina was recording her message, KISS was playing in the background. It came through on her message. I told her at least it wasn't Closer playing, which made her laugh and ruin the 2nd message. So, she began her 3rd, "...so please leave your name and number and I'll..."

And this is where I chimed in with, "F**k you like an animal!" We were in tears from laughing so hard. Then she was recording my message and when she got to the 'leave your name and number' part, I did some rather tasteless hip thrusting movements at her. Needless to say it took a few more tries to get it right. LOL!!!! We are going to get into so much trouble sharing an office! And who said working in a prison couldn't be fun!

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack. "Miss Whack, I'd like to get a $30,000 loan to take a holiday."

Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager. Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.

The frog says, "Sure. I have this," and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed. Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.

She finds the manager and says, "There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow $30,000, and he wants to use this as collateral." She holds up the tiny pink elephant. "I mean, what in the world is this?"

"It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone."

As Air America Radio pointed out:

This is Acheron and his god-daughter, Marissa. From the Dark-Hunter novel, Night Embrace. It s the scene where Amanda is frantic because Marissa is missing, until she sees Acheron sleeping on the couch, holding Marissa.
